ENTRY

This Duplex apartment on Park Avenue was completely gutted to the concrete and rebuilt to be a show piece as well as a comfortable home for a young family. The entertaining spaces where intended to emulate the Federal Style in the architecture, fabrics and furnishings. Tom Felton worked with Interior Designer Leslie Bryant to create the beautiful home.

This Historic House in the center of the Belle Meade section of Nashville was built in the mid 1920's. The young family living in the house wanted to keep the character of the house, but re-create the house to make it modern and comfortable and expand the entertaining spaces inside and out into the gardens. Manhattan Apartment inspired by the Federal Style

The hall table is a custom made piece design by in collaboration with the interior designer, Ashley Whittaker. The floor has an inlay Greek key border, and the walls are covered hand painted Gracie paper.

The eclectic craftsman style of the home shows the beautiful use of stone, wood, copper, brick and leaded glass. The alterations were designed to seamlessly connect to the original home. Much of the stone and brick was removed, cleaned and re-used so that the changes are invisible.

The front entry to this art deco style home opens to an oval foyer with openings into the living room and dining room. Overhead are large round windows and beyond is the garden with stone walls and carved details from a turn of the century house that existed previously on the property.
